GOD LOVE'S US

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(John 3:16)

THINGS HAPPEN WHEN YOU COME TO JESUS CHRIST

HE CHANGES YOUR PAST

Your sins are all forgiven.
unto him that loved us, washed us from our sins in his own blood...
(Revelation 1:5)
Your old nature is changed
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold. all things are become new.
(II Corinthians 5:7)
The power of Satan is broken
To open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God.
(Acts 26:18)
Your fear of death is removed
And free those who all their lives were held is slavery by their fear of death.
(Hebrews 2:15)

HE ENRICHES YOUR PRESENT

He gives you peace and joy
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:7)
He helps you in every trouble
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.
(Isaiah 41:10)

To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

(Romans 8:28)
He is preparing a home for you in heaven
In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
(John 14:2)
You need not fear death
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
(Psalms 23:4)
You will be cleared at the Judgment
Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died-more than that, who was raised to life- is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
(Romans 8:33-34)
What love! What mercy! What blessings! What power! What hope! What glory! Do not delay! Come to Jesus now! Pray this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God who died for my sins and rose, again. I repent of my sins and ask forgiveness. Send Your Spirit into my heart to give me power to fight evil and to lead me into all truth. Help me to love You above all and my neighbor as myself. Make me Your child and care for me now and forever Amen.

Church History

The PRAYER CENTER : Looking Back and Beyond

AT LAST, A 'FORMAL' ORGANIZATION

We look back at the past years of how God has bestowed upon The P.R.A.Y.E.R. Center, Inc. manifold blessings which time and again have proven His faithfulness. It was not an easy road that we went through. Neither do we expect a paved way ahead. But our experiences in the past can assure us that He will lead us still through unexpected obstacles and trials.

We also glance back with fond memories as we learned not just from His workmanship but also from our frailty. Some wrong steps that we have taken were indeed disheartening, but His love that binds us as one kept us walking, even crawling, amidst tempests and storms. The result is an ever united brethren, proven and prepared to meet the challenges ahead as we continue to entrust our goals and aspirations to "Him who will keep us from falling."

Let us, therefore continue to behold Him as we attempt to recall some highlights of our Center's achievements.

THE FIRST FLAILING STEPS

Little did we know that a bond of friendship can actually use by God to further His kingdom. Bros. George Cauntic, Boy Bartolome and myself together with our loving partners: Sis. Ayesa Cauntic, Gina Bartolome and Berlette Leonor first conceived the idea of putting up a small cell church which we believe can further expand God's work to the unreached parts of our village and Lord-willing, even beyond. We were ready to admit, though, that our combined efforts may not be enough. We were still in need of help from brethren with enough maturity and experience. We sought the support of Bro. Boy Lambonao and he was more than elated with the turn of events. But we were further convinced that the hand of God was upon this purpose when we requested for the leadership of Pastor El Aballe and he felt the burden of responding to the 'Macedonian call.'

It can be surmised that our first worship service was indeed significant for it was held on the first Sunday of the first week of the first month of 1999. It is meaningful because it was the first time after several years of attending the same church that we will be going where only a few 'brave men dared to tread.' Bro. Boy Lambonao offered his house's garage area as our temporary worship hall. He even extended up to offering his service as the privileged first worship leader. With less than 20 worshippers present, Bro. George doubled as emcee and keyboard player. Bro. Boy Bartolome is always an able usher. Mommy Ferming Cordero, Ate Rachel Bardiago, Ate Linda Mondoñedo and Sis. Rose Cabrera's appearance were inspiring. The support of our first 'informal deaconesses:' Sis. Gina, Nieves Lambonao, Tita Aballe and Ayesa proved to be very useful. It was fortunate that we have the support of our families that added up the numbers. The first sermon by Pastor El provided us with the much needed boost. The next Sunday saw Sis. Berlette taking up the cudgel of songleading from Bro. Boy L. Perhaps some brethren from other church groups were quite intrigued so that they made their presences felt, first by ones, then twos and threes as they bring their families and friends. Ptr. El brought some families from a village in Kinautdan District. God was adding up more and more every Sundays so that with only a few months after our first worship service, we realized that the place was not enough to accommodate more. That was when PRAYER Center II - Kinautdan District was formally recognized.

Bro. Boy Bart's (Boy Bartolome, as he is fondly called), Once jokingly remarked: "Paano ba iyan, wala nag atrasan 'to. (There's no way we can turn our backs anymore)." We looked at each other and saw how the leadership grew from a group of kumpadress to a solid core team each endowed with different gifts. Bro. Boy L. took the Commission (S.E.C), his wisdom is always evident. We know we need to organize ourselves first. There were no positions yet but a handy group of the ones who always attend the Overnight Prayer Meeting every Wednesday readily volunteered their service to burn their brows for research and study in order to draft the first Constitution and By-Laws to be submitted to the S.E.C.

The next process was more tedious which was the drafting of the By-Laws. The names of the members of the ad-hoc committee are:

COORDINATOR:

Boy Lambonao

RECORDER:

Edward Leonor

MEMBERS:

Ptr. El Aballe, George Cauntic, Boy Bartomome,

Ferming Cordero, Rachel Bardiago,

Nieves Lambonao, Tita Aballe, Ayesa Cauntic,

Gina Bartolome, Emma Closa, Rose Cabrera and

Berlette Leonor

From the tenets of faith, internal rules, organizational framework, and even up to our mission statement, each issues were hotly debated and approved by a consensus. After a little over two months of weekly and bi-weekly meetings a final draft was signed. During the first election for the first batch of officers for the BOARD OF STEWARDS, the following were given the responsibility:

CHAIRMAN:

George Cauntic

VICE-CHAIRMAN:

Boy Bartolome

MEMBERS:

Sis. Fermina Cordero, Tital Aballe, Rose Cabrera
and Rachel Bardiago

BOARD OF ELDERS ( as appointed by the Board of Stewards):

PASTOR AND CHURCH OVERSEER:

El Aballe

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF ELDERS AND DEACONS:

Boy Lambonao

The final copy of The P.R.A.Y.E.R. Center Constitution and By-Laws was approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission on _________________ under SEC Reg. No.__________________.

FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS

Being recognized by the duly constituted government is not the end of the road but only marked as the beginning of more challenges to come. Additional members with proven leadership track record appeared on the scene. Ptr. Nath Balbuena was appointed as Asst. Pastor and Youth Ministry In-Charge. Our first Youth Camp saw him at the thick of the action with several young people expressing their commitment to follow Christ. Bro. Bert Salaño and family were touched by God to help in the Practical Ministry. His present burden is to build-up the requirements for our Church projects. Some youths were appointed to join the music ministry as musicians, tambourine dancers and back-up singers.

Important assets were prioritized and purchased such as the musical and sound instruments; chairs, and Cell Group and Sunday School materials. Another challenge is to acquire a church lot and property. The site was already spotted but the financial details are yet to be accomplished. But with the heart of each and every members, or even non-members, of the Center and with the grace of our All-Sufficient God, we firmly believe that nothing would be too difficult for Him.

This account is not enough to narrate all the stage by stage processes if only to appreciate how God has wonderfully worked in our midst. We still have too much to work and learn until we all reach to the full knowledge of Him. But our prayer is that may our past accomplishments serve as a reminder that God who kept us on our toes, and knees, shall all the more guide and strengthen us as we make ourselves available for His kingdom.

Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

The P.R.A.Y.E.R. CENTER accepts and adopts the following Statement of Faith:

Section 1. The Scriptures Inspired - The Holy Scriptures revealed the will of God on man, governs the all-sufficient rule of his faith and practice of it as they are verbally inspired of God, and therefore, infallible. (2 Tim. 3:15-17; I Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

Section 2. The One True God - The eternal Godhead revealed Himself as One Existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, distinguisible but indivisible and also revealed Himself as the Creator of Heaven and Earth and the Redeemer of mankind. (Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; Deut. 6:4; Isaiah 43:10).

Section 3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ - The Lord Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God as declared in the scripture for His:

* a virgin birth (Matthew 1:23; Luke1:31,35)
* sinless life (Hebrew 7:26; I Peter 2:22)
* miracles (Acts 2:22; 10:38)
* substitutionary work in the cross (I Cor. 15:3; 2 Cor. 5:21)
* bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6 Luke 24:39; I cor. 15:4)
*

exaltation to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9; 2:33; Phil. 2:9-11)

Section 4. Man, His Fall and Redemption - Man was created good and upright but fallen by voluntary transgression into depravity and inability to attain divine unrighteousness by himself and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; 16,17; Romans 5:12-21).

Section 5. Salvation of Sinners - Salvation of sinners is by grace alone, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Christ who died on the cross of Calvary thru which sinners Obtain remission of sins. (Titus 2:11, 2:5-7; Heb. 9:12; Romans 4:25, 5:11, 10:13-15; Luke 24:47, John 3:3; Eph. 2:8-9).

Section 6. Baptism in Water - Water, Baptism by immersion in the name of the Eternal Godhead is needed in order to fulfill the command or Christ by all who have really repented and in their hearts have truly believed on Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing, they have the body washed in pure water as an outward symbol of cleansing, while their hearts have already been sprinkled with the blood of Christ as an inner cleansing. This is an act of declaration to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:36-39, 10:47,48, 19:1-6; 20:21; Heb. 10:22; Romans 6:4).

Section 7. The Lord's Supper - The Lord's Supper, consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4); a memorial of His suffering and death and a prophecy of His second coming and that all true believers are enjoined to partake with it until He comes back. (I cor. 28-31).

Section 8. Baptism in the Holy Ghost - All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the father, the baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire. according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. With it comes the endument of power of life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. This wonderful experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. The baptism of believers in the Holy Ghost is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance. This instance is the same in essence as the gift of tongues, but different in purpose and use. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,8; 2:4; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9; I Cor. 12:31).

Section 9. Entire Sanctification - The Scriptures teach a life of holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. The entire sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God's word. It is realized in the believer by recognizing his identification with Christ in his death and resurrection, and by faith reckoning daily upon the fact of that union and by offering every faculty continually to the dominion of the Holy Spirit. (Heb. 12:14; I Peter 1:5, 15-16; I Thess. 5:23-24; 1 John 2:6; Rom. 6:1-11,13; 8:1-2,13 Gal. 2:20; Phil. 2:12-13).

Section 10. The Church - The Church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer is an integral part of the Entire Body and Church of the Firstborn, who are written in heaven. (Eph. 1:22-23; Heb. 12:23).

Section 11. The ministry and Evangelism - A divinely called and scriptural ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the threefold purpose of leading the Church in (1) Evangelization of the world. (2) Worship of God, (3) Building a Body of Saints being perfected in the image of His Son. (Mark 16:15-20; John 4:23-24; Eph. 4:11-16).

Section 12. Divine Healing - Divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the Atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; James 5:14-16, Acts. 4:30; Rom. 8:11; I Cor. 12:9).

Section 13. The Resurrection of the Dead - The resurrection of those who have fallen sleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the believers. (Rom. 8:23; I Thess. 4:16-17; Titus 2:13; I Cor. 15:51-52)

Section 14. The Second Coming of Christ - The second Coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for one thousand years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of nation Israel and the establishment of universal peace. (Zech. 14:15; Matt. 24:27,30; Rev. 19:11-14; 20:1-6; Ezekiel 37:21-22; Zeph. 3:19-20; Rom. 11:26-27; Isaiah 11:6-9, Psalm 72:3-8; Micah 4:3-4).

Section 15. The Final Judgment - There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev. 19:20, 20:11-15, 21:18).

Section 16. The New Heaven and the New Earth - We, "according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness". (2 Peter 3:13; Rev. 21:22).
